Main price
Purchasing power
Consumer price indexes are published with a lag of one to two months and are revised after the fact. P on this page is the main BasketCoin price. The Frankfurter exchange-rate price on the dashboard is a reference, not purchasing power.
The basket base date is 02.01.2001. For BLS and Eurostat the base print is January 2001, written 01.2001. BFS, ONS, Statistics Bureau, and NBS are read through data.worldbank.org as the annual series FP.CPI.TOTL, so those rows show the year 2001 and the latest year in the response. A missing response is marked as unavailable. No figure is filled in.
The index levels do not share one scale. BLS CPI-U is 1982–84 = 100. Eurostat HICP is 2015 = 100. World Bank FP.CPI.TOTL is 2010 = 100. The growth column is the change inside one series.
Calculation of P and 1/P
The coefficient of a currency is its base index divided by its latest index in the table below. P is the arithmetic mean of the coefficients. The quote of one BasketCoin in currency k is P multiplied by that coefficient. The same P and the same quotes are on the home page. A missing index stays unavailable.
ck = Ik(t0) Ik(t)
